Brain Biopsy

It is the surgical sampling of any lesion or mass in the brain.

Just before the brain biopsy , a frame is mounted on the patient’s skull under local anesthesia, and the targeted area is reached with high accuracy by stereotactic frame during the surgery.

The patients are discharged within 12-24 hours after the biopsy. Brain biopsy surgeries are often used to diagnose masses located deep in the brain and difficult to reach with open surgery.
